If I said to you I’m talking a picture you’ll 100% fluff your hair or change your posture or grab your lipstick! (I’d do the same don’t worry it’s not a bag thing haha)

BUT…it’s the same if you’re testing the fit of your clothing!

If you *try* to move normally I promise you won’t so just put that toile or test those strap lengths (like I’m doing here) and then go about your life.

It doesn’t have to be for long. It just has to be REAL LIFE actions!

Oh and if you’re thinking but Sarah I’ll get pins in my bum… two words - safety pins 🧷!

It’s one of my key tips for fitting your clothes.

Pins fly out and stab you.

Pattern blocks (otherwise known as slopers) are key to speeding up the drafting process as we can use them as templates for the basis of our patterns.

Inside my signature pattern cutting design course DESIGN CONFIDENCE you get ALLL MY BLOCKS!

✂️ Bodice blocks, sleeve blocks, skirt blocks, trousers blocks and stretch blocks
✂️ All in Full scale, half scale and quarter scale
🖨️ and on US letter paper and A4 so you can print them at home or get them printed

This means we can get designing straight away and master lots of drafting techniques for different design features to build up a huge bank of limitless design options to suit your dream clothing ideas.

P.S. fun fact when I wanted to draft my own sewing patterns when I was a teenager flicking through Vogue I didn’t even know the words pattern cutting or pattern drafting 🤣 and I had no way to really find out this term.

Everyone has to start somewhere right?…

My somewhere was the hack and guess method (which kind of worked tbh) until I went to London College of Fashion and felll in L-O-V-E with pattern cutting.
